Importing and Exporting Songs

Teaboy allows you to export and import your song files. This allows you to store your songs locally and still be able to edit them later. This makes for a great form of safety backup should you accidentally delete a song (and who hasn't done something like that at least once?).

Also, while keeping data on a server database is by far the most secure method, some people may prefer to keep their files locally only. Exporting allows you to do this. It isn't recommended as it's easier for the data to get lost or stolen, but the option is there never the less. You can export your files and not save them to the database. This will however limit your ability to find songs. You will have to name your songs and store them in a way that you can find on your own and won't be able to take advantage of any of the database sorting features.

Exporting

To export your song, simply select Export from the File menu. This will open a dialog box that allows you to choose where on your local computer you would like to store the song and what file name to give it.

Importing

You can import a saved song by selecting Import from the File menu. This will bring up a dialog box that allows you to navigate your local computer to find and select your exported files.
